Nadia Valente was born in Bergamo in 1957. Since she was a girl, she’s showed a particular aptitude for drawing.
As she became more mature, she decided to train her artistic skills by attending some drawing and painting courses
with the such teachers as:Italo Ghilardi and Attilio Gattafù’. Finally, she was guided by Marcello Arzuffi for
several years.
Moreover, she attended some courses for china decoration with teacher Leoni and M.G. Frassetto She has been
partner of the Artistic Club in Bergamo since 2006. She takes part to many group art exhibitions in Bergamo
and its provinces, as well as in Tenerife, Spain and in London, at The Brick Lane Gallery. In addition, she has
been praised by the critics and the audience of many local and national competitions, such as “Premio Agazzi” in
Mapello.(Bergamo) and 5°competitions Trofeo G.B.Moroni by New Artemisia Gallery - Bergamo
This is what was written about her, after presenting her works of art to some personal and group exhibitions at the
Artistic Club in Bergamo: “Nadia Valente attended the school of Marcello Arzuffi and is a figurative painter too;
she follows a very precise line, which makes her style become immediately communicative. What we can notice,
is a painting that admits no mistakes at all and that is made with scrupulous care. We can see it especially in her wideranging paintings, aesthetically riveting and convincing, where the viewers’ look can enjoy the perspective of open
fields in a serene and quiet atmosphere. Nadia Valente’s chromaticism is very vivacious, especially in those figures
where an accentuation of the tonalities (made on a purpose by the artist) could be found. However, all her works of art are an invitation to praise nature’s beauties. “Don Lino Lazzari – 09/01/2006 – L’Eco di Bergamo“Nadia Valente
owes her artistic education to the painting and drawing courses she attended, taught by painter Marcello Arzuffi.
With a pleasant coloring, she interprets the feminine figure, the faces of sad and dreaming girls and very bright
landscapes, with wide horizons. Her figurative style has a romantic vein.”
